In 2022, the Town of Mountain Village partnered with KEO studioworks to launch a transit upgrade initiative: to reimagine and modernize the community’s network of bus and transit stops. The goal was to create a more functional, welcoming, and visually cohesive transit experience meeting the evolving needs of residents, visitors, and the growing regional bus system.
In 2024, the first transit stop at the village entrance was completed, strategically chosen to meet growing demand fueled by nearby affordable housing and school bus routes. The new transit stop reflects a thoughtful integration of form and function. The shelter itself is constructed from materials selected for their long-term durability and ability to harmonize with the contemporary mountain aesthetic that defines Mountain Village.
