KEO studioworks is a collaborative design studio focused on the relationship between people, place, and purpose. Our work is grounded in a clear and integrated approach that aligns program, site, and context with client goals, economics, and long-term value.
We bring balanced expertise in design and project delivery, maintaining careful attention to schedule, budget, and execution across all phases of work. Our experience spans public, private, and commercial sectors, from small-scale interventions to complex, large-scale planning and development.
Founded in 2020, KEO studioworks is led by Jim K., whose practice builds on more than 30 years of experience across public and private sectors. Prior to establishing the studio, Jim held design leadership roles including Design Director and Design Principal at firms in Salt Lake City, Chicago, St. Louis, and Aspen. At the core of our practice is collaboration. We work closely with clients to define vision, clarify opportunity, and align design decisions with practical and economic realities. Early-stage thinking emphasizes feasibility, land use, and programmatic clarity to establish achievable frameworks that maximize long-term value. Our work is driven by inquiry and restraint through balancing creativity with context, budget, and program. The goal is simple: to create enduring environments that elevate daily experience and strengthen the communities and people they serve.
